Event Participation Guidelines

Last Updated Thursday, August 28th, 2025

At The One Network, our events — whether online or in person — are about connection, collaboration, and community.
These simple guidelines help us make sure everyone enjoys a positive, professional experience.

Be Respectful

  • Treat everyone with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Listen as much as you talk — give space for others to contribute.
  • Be mindful of different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.

Keep It Professional

  • Share your business and story honestly.
  • Avoid aggressive sales pitches — focus on building relationships.
  • Respect confidentiality: what’s shared in the room stays in the room (unless permission is given).

Inclusive and Welcoming

  • Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Support and encourage one another — we’re here to grow together.

Online Events

  • Join on time, with your name visible.
  • Keep your camera on where possible, and mute when not speaking.
  • Be present — avoid multitasking so you can give others your full attention.

In-Person Events

  • Arrive in good time and check in at registration.
  • Be considerate with personal space and respectful of the venue.
  • Alcohol should be enjoyed responsibly — your behaviour still matters.

Reporting Issues

If you experience or witness behaviour that goes against these guidelines, please let an organiser know or email info@theonenetwork.org.uk
